Profesional Partner Dialogue

Introduction

In my latest blog entry, I reflect on a recent English lesson plan, its execution, and the insights gained through post-class reflection. This entry delves into the detailed  Action Plan, which laid the foundation for a lesson focused on describing people and objects. Following this, I provide an Observation Report that captures the classroom dynamics, student engagement, and the challenges encountered during the lesson. Finally, the Post-Reflection Dialogue Report offers a thoughtful analysis of what worked, and what didn’t, and suggestions for future improvement. Through these reflections, I aim to share valuable lessons on teaching strategies, classroom management, and the continuous journey of growth as an educator.

Resume

In this part of my blog, I share my experiences and reflections from a recent English lesson focused on teaching students how to describe people and objects. The process began with a carefully planned lesson, aimed at helping students build their vocabulary and confidence in using English to describe everyday things.

Throughout the class, I observed how students interacted with the material, their varying levels of engagement, and the challenges they faced. While many students were enthusiastic and quick to grasp the new concepts, others needed a bit more support and time to feel comfortable with the lesson.

After the lesson, I took some time to reflect on what worked well and what could be improved. The use of visual aids and group activities proved to be effective, making the lesson interactive and enjoyable. However, I realized that sticking too closely to the lesson plan's timing sometimes left less room for flexibility, especially for those who needed extra help.

In this reflection, I also consider ways to enhance future lessons, such as allowing more time for challenging concepts and adapting activities to meet the diverse needs of my students. This ongoing journey in teaching reminds me of the importance of being adaptable and open to continuous improvement, always with the goal of better supporting my students' learning experiences.
