About Our Project


The project, "Enseñanza del idioma inglés en nivel básico a niños y niñas de cuarto, quinto y sexto grado de la Escuela Primaria Guadalupe Victoria," is designed to integrate global perspectives into the curriculum and create a culturally inclusive learning environment for students. Our goal is to improve English language skills among fourth--, fifth-, and sixth-graders by employing engaging and effective teaching methods.


Why This Project?


In today's interconnected world, proficiency in English opens up numerous opportunities for young learners. By helping students develop strong English language skills, we are enhancing their academic abilities and preparing them to participate actively in a global society. Our project is grounded in the belief that every child deserves access to quality education that broadens their horizons and equips them for the future.


Our Objectives


Through this project, we aim to:

- Develop basic listening and pronunciation skills.

- Encourage basic understanding of vocabulary and grammatical structures.

- Provide interactive activities to improve conversational skills.


Our Approach


We began by assessing the current level of English proficiency among students and identifying specific needs. Based on this assessment, we designed a comprehensive action plan that includes structured lessons, interactive activities, and regular evaluations to monitor progress. We also incorporate technology and multimedia tools to make learning more dynamic and enjoyable.

Conclusion and reflection

  As I wrap up my social service experience, I've found it to be a journey filled with both challenges and growth. Teaching English to beginners in a primary school wasn't just about imparting knowledge; it was about connecting with students, understanding their individual needs, and finding creative ways to keep them engaged.  Throughout this process, I encountered moments of doubt and frustration, especially when students struggled to grasp concepts or when the disparity in proficiency levels made it difficult to move forward as a class. However, these challenges taught me the importance of patience, flexibility, and the need to adapt my teaching methods to suit the diverse needs of my students. One of the most rewarding aspects was witnessing the progress my students made, no matter how small.     Post-Reflection Dialogue Report   After teaching the lesson on "Describing People and Objects," I took some time to reflect on the overall development and execution of the unit plan. The experience was both enlightening and rewarding, offering valuable insights into what worked well and areas that could use some improvement.   What Was Useful: One of the most useful aspects of the unit plan was the structured approach to introducing new vocabulary and concepts. The clear sequence—from warm-up to presentation, practice, and production—provided a solid framework that kept the lesson organized and on track. The use of visual aids, like flashcards and pictures, was particularly effective in helping students grasp the new vocabulary.
